Unforgiving rocky inlets, restless sea and a swathe of sea pinks – what could be more Cornish? Taken near Tintagel on the north Cornwall coast, the sparkling May morning made the most of the jewel-like colours.The slate rocks themselves are the reason for the turquoise seas of the area, as they contain copper compounds that colour the water in warm weather.
