One of the best things about using a macro lens is being able to see a whole new world in tiny things. This is a dried seed head of a rather common garden plant, the perennial cornflower (Centaurea montana). From above, the seeds seem to have settled into a comfortable nest surrounded by the metallic reflexed sepals.
